Job Description: Role Description LSC is unique in its ability to work across asset classes and sectors, providing structured finance solutions to a variety of situations including performing and sub-performing corporate credit, private equity, real estate, and renewables, in both the private and public markets, and in each case in a myriad of forms and to a wide variety of clients. We arrange, structure, originate, fund/purchase, and otherwise invest in loans, bonds and other forms of credit and receivables and financial products. Funds used are primarily from DB’s own balance sheet, while we partner with foreign and domestic institutions on co-originations and syndications as the situation requires. You can expect: Corporate Group Insurance – premium borne by company Annual health checkup – cost borne by company (once a year; conditions apply) Child care and elderly care benefits – corporate discount through designated child care elderly care vendors EAP – free and confidential counseling, online work-life resources Employee networks – Diversity, volunteering, sports, family care - various activities to participate Role Responsibilities and Tasks : Network, source, arrange, and convert on leveraged lending and structured finance transactions as a key member of the deal team; Be fully abreast of market themes, trends, and upcoming deal opportunities being brought to market; Directly face Sponsors to thoroughly understand their financing needs, and to then match those needs with LSC’s product offerings; Identify gaps in the market, and assist with developing new products as client and market needs arise; Work proactively with internal stakeholders including analysts, credit approvers, and the deal execution team Engage in client negotiations to originate and execute transactions; and Understand the technical aspects of the deal structuring and execution workstreams, including financial, tax, and legal aspects, in order to add value to the client relationship and the deal execution process Experience/ Qualifications: Deep experience in covering Sponsors and other key market participants; Strong track record of successful leveraged loan and structured finance sourcing and origination; Ability to drive the client conversation beyond coverage, and to efficiently and repeatedly convert on the identified origination opportunities; Ability to navigate the due diligence and financial analysis of a complicated, highly structured transaction; Excellent verbal and written communications skills; Native Japanese and business-level English preferred; Team player with a strong motivation to contribute; and Experience working in a similar role in a Japan-based financial institution or fund How we’ll support you: Coaching and support from experts in your team A culture of continuous learning to aid progression A range of flexible benefits that you can tailor to suit your needs Training and development to help you excel in your career About us and our teams: Deutsche Bank is the leading German bank with strong European roots and a global network.
