We’re on the search for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work at our newly formed Newcastle office, located in the east district. Focusing on the Newcastle, Hunter, and Central Coast region, you will be supporting traditional industry sectors such as key retail, commercial and residential construction projects, and new growth sectors including renewables infrastructure projects currently being planned in the area. This role will perform various quantity surveying functions including estimating, cost planning and cost management, cost modelling, and accurate and timely financial reporting whilst exercising sound financial acumen with a key focus on proactively maximising value for our clients.This role is responsible for:Cost planningCost reportingCost checking of developing designMaster plans and feasibility studiesValue engineeringTender evaluations and analysisContract negotiationsCash flow projectsProcurementEvaluation of variationsValuationsClaims assessment, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claimsInvestment analysisFormulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plansFinal account reportingLiaising with clients, architects and main contractorsIdentifying and facilitating new business opportunitiesWith support from our experienced Sydney-based team, you will be given the autonomy to develop business opportunities in NSW’s fastest growing corridor.
