Your focus will be on After Sales Service of Hydro PlantsPOSITIONServices TechnicianLOCATIONGautengSALARYMarket relatedRESPONSIBILITIES• Product and Process Specialist• Service immediate customer needs• Application Development / Product Design• New product introductions• Customer/Supplier/Vendor relations• Identify new product opportunities• Organise transfer meetings with sales, project management and customers• Project Management as required• On-site assessments, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, repairs and/or upgrades to customer’s equipment• Sales opportunity management as required• Contribute to company committees or initiatives as needed• Travel will be required as part of this position• Other duties may be assignedMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering combined with competency in hydro plant machinery with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience• Master’s degree a plus• Demonstrated skills mechanical or electrical engineering, organizational talents and ability to provide technical service to customers• Knowledge in Non-Destructive Testing/Quality assurance a plus• Expertise in manufacturing, field services and commissioning• Knowledge about on-site machining a plus• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills• Proven ability to meet deadlines/successful completion of deliverables• Self-started with problem solving skills, and great attention to detail• Open-minded, communicative personality, enjoys working in international teams with people from different cultural backgrounds• Willingness to travel in African countries with hydro power or hydro power potential• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English is mandatory. French, German or Portuguese a plus
