SynopsisWe are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager for the Sub Sahara region. This role is pivotal in generating product sales and marketing revenue, achieving revenue targets, and leading a sales and marketing team.Qualification and ExperienceCompetencies:Expert understanding of the company’s products.Entrepreneurial thinker with a highly influential, motivational personality.Well-connected and able to form strong relationships with clients/customers.Commercially and entrepreneurially oriented.Flexible and resilient.Ability to technically interpret and explain the company’s products and manufacturing processes.Strong team player with strategic planning ability.Ability to lead and motivate a sales and marketing team.Skills:Excellent interpersonal and customer focus skills.Excellent organizational and target-driven skills.Strong problem-solving abilities.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Advanced skills in MS Office packages.Knowledge:Knowledge of the manufacturing environment and related industry.Business administration and record keeping.Product and production-specific knowledge.Understanding of the required customers for the company in the specific region.Education/Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business or Marketing.Valid Driver’s License.Experience:5 - 8 years of relevant senior sales management experience in a manufacturing and agricultural environment.Experience in the irrigation industry (non-negotiable).Staff management experience.Roles and ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development:Ensure all sales and marketing targets are met or exceeded.Cultivate existing key accounts and build new relationships with potential customers/clients.Identify and create effective revenue-generating environments.Identify and implement business development opportunities.Anticipate future sales and marketing challenges and initiate appropriate actions to respond rapidly.Compile compelling sales presentations for management.Strategy:Establish innovative and effective sales and marketing strategies aligned with the business strategy.Identify annual strategic priorities and measurable quarterly objectives.Finance:Collaborate with the Managing Director and Senior Management team to set annual revenue targets.Ensure accurate project cost calculations and approvals.Inform the Director of Operations of any decisions affecting product profitability.Research:Implement effective reporting and measurement systems to support the sales strategy.Gather and disseminate relevant competitor intelligence.Provide the Senior Management team with innovative and compelling sales and marketing analysis.Analyze regional market trends and discover new growth opportunities.Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to enhance customer satisfaction.Reporting:Report sales results and provide relevant feedback to the Senior Management team.Operations:Manage expenses responsibly.Evaluate projects from a profitability perspective.Participate in senior management meetings and functions.Ensure operational efficiency of products from a sales perspective.Represent the company at industry-related events.Protect the company's interests at a senior management level.Human Resources Management:Manage direct reporting employees, including the FieldNet Sales Coordinator, Territory Manager (Domestic), Application & Field Service Manager, Sales Manager (After Market), Customer Service and Marketing Manager, and Territory Manager (Export).Motivate and train reporting employees, including regular performance management.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Achievement of sales targets.Achievement of annual strategic priorities and quarterly objectives.New business growth.Growth of business revenue.Lead African projects and key account management.
