[what the role is] _ [what you will be working on] Responsibilities include to lead a team to: Undertake robust and deep analysis of policy and regulatory issues (e.g., competition, mergers and acquisitions) in the telecom and media sectors in the short to medium term. Obtain multiple perspectives from internal and external stakeholders in order to develop robust and sound policy recommendations Undertake market assessments for local and international market trends and policy issues, produce timely, thoroughly researched and well-written reports, ensure that local and international market trends, are taken into consideration in policy formulation. This is in order to develop, recommend and implement short and long-term policies and regulatory frameworks Obtain a keen understanding of policy issues in Singapore's digital economy and the implications of these, which may cut across multiple sectors. Develop insights on these developments and propose well thought-through and robust recommendations [what are we looking for] Requirements: Background in Economics or Business Administration or Engineering. Other disciplines can be considered. Keep up with developments in the telecom and media sectors (technology, market, regulatory), digital economy, business and consumer concerns, social-economic environment in Singapore, international developments (technology, regulatory, legal) and public policy, and able to develop well thought-through insights.
