Our team provides support for customer operations to ensure continuity for production. Partner with the best To own the pipe system design and engage with customers on pre-contract requirements. Provide technical support throughout all stages of project tendering process from early concept to full tender proposal. A rounded engineering function, with significant requirement for strong communication and task ownership to deliver for our customers. Technical point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, facilitating engineering process as well as performing detailed engineering design and calculation. Comprehensive understanding of product design and interfaces is expected. As a Pipe Systems Design Engineer, you will be responsible for: Technical focal point for tendering process Uses sound engineering practice to develop pipe systems design to customer specification. Provides technical support throughout all stages of project tendering process from early concept to full tender proposal. Performs engineering calculation, using company software tools and design guidelines, to develop and verify design of pipe structure and associated ancillary items. Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods. As a rounded engineering function, the role has significant requirement for strong technical communication skills and task ownership to deliver for our customers. Facilitates engineering output from other departments and sub-suppliers as required to develop quality output. Owns the technical solution and inputs to risk mitigation. Communicates aspects of the technical proposal to internal and external stakeholders, acting as company representative Provides technical expertise and works closely with the commercial team. Commercially aware, possesses an understanding of relevant markets and customer economic value that aid winning bid strategies including definition and optimization of the products; scope (description); schedule; industrial scheme; cost, considering contract and internal policies and procedures. Calculation of plant, system, and equipment requirements Participates in, and contributes to, improvement of process and tools, including product development and cost-out. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Have relevant technical qualifications from an accredited university or college. Have demonstrable experience in other Engineering/Technology role. Have excellent oral and written communication skills. Be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and the ability to work independently. Be a Team Player contributing to the close engineering team dynamic.
