About the Team The Senior Manager, AI and ML Tech Solutions will be joining the growing CAO Business Innovation and Transformation team. This team drives major innovation and technology solutions projects across the finance org. About the Role This role will be responsible for building an RPA based automation COE for the CAO org. This role combines technical expertise, project management and leadership skills. This role will assist large cross-functional implementation and maintenance of AI and ML features for finance with RPA being the most immediate focus. This is an exciting role that provides individuals an opportunity to transform business processes and evolve finance into a more technology driven organization. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Build strong working relationships with Finance, BT and Internal Controls teams and cross-functional business partners to drive alignment and key project objectives Build a strong team by hiring valuable talent that supports Workday’s overall growth by aligning CAO automation strategy with company’s strategic growth initiatives Accountable for developing roadmaps and design automation technologies to align with business needs; seek and build relationships to enhance delivery and better understand, identify, and work through issues Complete Automation Assessments across all functions to identify processes suitable for Automation and lead on taking suitable processes through the Automation Development Life Cycle Collaborate closely with third party vendors to ensure they are meeting value targets and quickly raise any risks or potential technology deficiencies Design automations based upon requirements, including inputs, process, outputs, exception paths and error handling; define and design business benefits, value, and funding requirements for portfolio automations Build SLAs within the team to measure follow-through and productivity Maintain proficiency on automation tools including recommendations, processes and procedures, and track enhancements; contribute to reference architecture definition and maintenance as well as improving standards, guidelines, and leading practices Lead teams in a cross functional organization to improve platform delivery as it relates to delivery management; collaborate with CAO teams and BT to implement solutions that meet business needs Ensure all automation development adheres to the approved Governance Model and ensure adequate controls are in place to support and guardrail automation program Develops metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support automation program Maintain up to date knowledge of industry trends and developments in areas including generative AI, RPA, process mining, and more About You You are strong leader with a passion to mentor and inspire Workmates You love creative problem solving and process improvements You have strong presentation skills and are able to deliver clear message, vision and goals in business partner meetings You have advanced organization skills, ability to help prioritize tasks and compartmentalize projects and associated timelines You can jump in and help teams achieve goals and keep the project moving by sometimes acting as a driver and a doer You love determining how to optimize systems, platforms, and technology-based tools to tackle problems You love supporting leadership by being responsible for and coordinating tasks as well as continuously motivating and encouraging them Most importantly, your work style will chip in to a positive work culture and align with Workday core values Basic Qualifications: 12+ years of relevant job experience 4+ years of experience in implementing or using Workday systems e.g., Finance, Payroll, HCM etc. Functional knowledge in 1 or more of the following areas: Payroll, General Ledger, Stock Admin, Benefits, Compensation, Absence, Timekeeping Bachelor’s degree A strong presenter with excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional user of Microsoft Office tools Other Qualifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus Experience in designing automation using AI and ML based technology Experience in using Project Management tools like Asana, Smartsheets etc. Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-pace, collaborative environment Strong interpersonal and time management skills Demonstrates initiative, flexibility and follow-through Attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills Experience implementing Workday, Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft or similar application Workday Pay Transparency Statement - United States The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations in the United States (US) are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
