Accurately prepare work for all assigned tasks eg: capital call preparation journal entry booking for investments and expenses, cash reconciliations, etc.
Find ways to continuously improve quality and velocity of work, partnering with our enablement teams, process experts, and product development teams on solutions
Help identify opportunities for Carta’s functional shared services teams to provide an amazing experience for our fund administration customers

The Team You’ll Work With
We are looking to invest in recent college graduates who are eager to join Carta's Fund Administration team and accelerate personal career development at a hyper growth FinTech company starting in mid July 2024. We are looking for motivated team players who will learn the foundational skills it takes to be a successful employee with a high growth trajectory.
Over the last five years, our Fund Administration team has experienced phenomenal growth sitting at over $126B AUM and counting. We work with over 5,000 firms and support 180,000 LPs, enabling and defining us as the top leader in the Fund Administration industry. Joining as a Fund Accounting Associate is an incredible opportunity to increase industry knowledge within the Venture Capital ecosystem.
Program Overview:
The Carta New Graduate Rotational Program is designed to give recent graduates exposure to various aspects of our business, allowing them to develop a broad skill set and gain valuable hands-on experience. Over the course of 12 months, participants will have the opportunity to rotate through different functional shared services teams within Carta’s Fund Administration practice helping service our clients via teams such as Cash Reconciliation, Management Company Accounting, Internal Workflow Routing, Expenses Accounting, Capital Activity, and more. This program is specifically tailored to provide a well-rounded understanding of our business operations while fostering personal and professional growth. At the end of the 12 month rotation, program participants will be placed full time on a functional shared services team based on business needs.
Program Highlights:
Mentorship:Each participant will be paired with a mentor from each functional team to guide and support their professional development.
Training Sessions: Regular training sessions will be conducted to enhance technical skills, soft skills, and industry knowledge.
Cross-Functional Projects: Engage in collaborative projects that require interdisciplinary teamwork, providing a holistic understanding of our business.
Feedback and Evaluation: Receive continuous feedback to track progress and tailor future rotations based on individual strengths and interests.
About You

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Eager to learn about the Venture Capital and Fund Administration space
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel
You have strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytic skills
You’re interested in providing best-in-class-service
You’re interested in working on projects in a fast paced environment with a supportive team and as an individual
You are a natural communicator
You are comfortable providing and escalating feedback (as you encounter issues in your day to day work)
You take pride in your personal development and growth
Open to constant change and learning as we continue to innovate
0-1 year of relevant work experience preferred, including internships (Public Accounting or Fund Administration experience is a plus)

Salary
Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our expected cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is:

$75,000.00 - $78,000.00 in New York, New York San Francisco, CA
